The Story
Peru is one of the wealthiest countries in the world in nature, wildlife, culture, and history. However, poverty and lack of opportunities are still some of our most significant issues as a nation.
In 2009, Peruvian Soul was born with a purpose: share the best of Peru with people all around the world. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to use Peruvian Soul as a medium to positively impact our society. It all started in December 2009, when our first clients arrived in Peru. They asked us to help them organize not only a tour but an activity to give something back. Then, together with a good friend and the support of Tierra de Niños, we went to plant trees in the desert, help the kids paint their school, and have some fun games in Ica. That day was such a pleasure for all of us that we committed ourselves to doing the same each year, every time in a different and remote region of the country. Years later, we held the event at Tupe, an isolated town that can only be reached on foot! From that day on, Papanoel Trekero, or Hiking Santa, was born and became a tradition we would never forget.
Since then, we have met many fantastic people and built a strong friendship, all of us sharing the same dream. In these past years, we have been able to bring joy, laughter, and support to many kids from different communities around the Lima region and our country. This is just little retribution to all the incredible places that have given us and our clients lifetime memories during our travels.
